ReplyDeleteGreyfoot sat in a spot of sunshine enjoying a fresh-killed mouse. He looked over and noticed Jadestar happened to be looking at him. He looked up and she shyly looked away. He continued eating and she looked bakc at him. >Why is she looking at me like that?< he wondered. Greyfoot looked up and again and meowed, "Something wrong, Jadestar?" Jadestar blinked, not knowing what to say. "No..nothing really." Greyfoot gave her an unsure look. "You sure? Why are you staring at me like that? Why do you stare at me like that every time I turn around?" Jadestar stared at her white paws. She didn't feel like a leader at all, she felt like a kit and wanted to squeal for her mother. "B..b-beacause I love you, Greyfoot. And you don't love me, do you?" Greyfoot looked at her and smiled. "Why would you think I don't? To be honest, I love you too but I thought you were staring at me oddly because you hated me." Jadestar was overwhelmed with happiness as she rushed to Greyfoot and purred. "Will you be my mate?" she whispered. Greyfoot purred. "Gladly."

But, he was looking away now so she srugged and continued eating her mouse. She flicked her tail and thought, Why should I care if he looks at me or not? It's not like I really like Raintail...do I?
