Swiftpaw darted throguh the forest, back to camp. He leapt from stepping stone to stepping stone over the stream and ran through the trees. He burst through the tunnel that was the camp entrance. "Morningpaw! She's gone! She was kidnapped by a rouge at Stoneplace!" Swiftpaw cried, out of breath. Jadestar walked up to her son. "It's alright, we'll find her. How far has thr rouge gone?" she meowed. "T-the rouge was large, I couldn't catch him. He was heading...f-for the open territory. He's probably t-there by now," Swiftpaw said shakily. Jadestar turned to her deputy. "Scartail, take Greyfoot and Flamestripe to Stoneplace and follow the rouge from there. If the trail leads into the open territory, then don't go too far for now. When you're finished, report back to me," she ordered. "Yes, Jadestar," Scartail replied and led Flamestripe and Greyfoot out of camp.
*The Patrol*
Scartail, Greyfoot, and Flamestripe raced through the forest to Stoneplace. Greyfoot sniffed the ground and meowed, "I smell scents of Swiftpaw and Morningpaw...and rouge! I've found it!" They followed the scent trail until it stopped at the stream. "He must have gone through it," Flamestripe mumbled. "Then we will, too," Scartail said. She led the patrol strait through the stream, feeling lucky it was a calm part. "We probably could have just went to the stepping stones to get across," Greyfoot meowed. "You afraid of getting a little wet, Greyfoot? The stepping stones are too far down anyway, if we took time to go cross that way then we would oose the scent," Scartail snapped. They found the scent again, but it was faint. "The water is hinding the rouges scent!" Flamestripe said. They tried their best to follow the scent, but lost it. "We might as well head back to camp," Scartail murmured.
*Back at Camp*
The patrol came back into camp, without Morningpaw. "Any luck?" Jadestar asked. Scartail shook her head. "We lost the scent trail after we crossed the stream," she meowed. Jadestar sighed. She leapt to the top of the EchoRock and called the clan together. "As you all know by now, Morningpaw has been kidnapped by a rouge. I want all patrol to watch out for rouges, and no apprentices can go into the forest without a warrior," she called, "Meeting dissmissed." Jadestar leapt down from the EchoRock.

Halfkit sat near the nursery. Suddenly, he heard a voice. "Oh no, it's starting earlier than we throught!" the voice meowed, worried. It was the same voice Halfkit had heard at Willow Island. "Er..hello?" he said. "Hello, Halfkit. I'm Goldwing, your father's sister." she voice said, introducing herself. "Ok, but where are you?" Halfkit asked. "I'm a cat of StarClan, you can't see me. But you have a power, Halfkit. Through your left ear, you can't hear the world around you, but you can hear the voices of StarClan," Goldwing meowed. "Really?" Haflkit asked. "You can hear me right now, can't you?" Goldwing said with a laugh. Halfkit nodded, feeling dumb. "Anyway, Jadestar received a prophecy about you and your brother. Fogkit can see us and you can hear us. You must tell Fogkit and then together tell Jadestar that you are the brothers in the prophecy. Then, you must tell her the prophecy I tell you now," Goldwing continued. Halfkit felt confused, but listened.

"What?" Halfkit meowed. "Just share this with your brother and Jadestar, but no other cat," Goldwing meowed, "You must find out what is meens. Good luck!" Halfkit meowed, "Goldwing? Hello?" But, she was gone.

ReplyDeleteMorningpaw slowly blinked open her dark eyes. As far as she could tell, the rouge was still carrying her, but she had no idea where she was. She was much to weak to struggle anymore."Where are we?" She murmured lightly, forgetting about the enemy."I can't tell you yet." The tom said gruffly, but was slightly gentle.

ReplyDeleteFlytekit sighed, noticing her brother staring out into space. He was keeping a secret, she knew that just by looking at him. But Flytekit wasn't one to pry, so she just sighed, turning away and waiting.

(But if she could read minds wouldn't that mean she would be hearing random thoughts here are there? If she is as smart as it says in her description she would have realized it already. Are you saying she has not developed her powers yet, when the two kits have?)
ReplyDelete(Yes, she doesn't have any powers yet. Halfkit and Fogkit get their before any other cats, I know they are just kits, but that's how it is. And she couldn't have realized it yet, Halfkit JUST found out about the prophecy and Jadestar only knows a little bit about it. And nether of them have told anyone yet. So, just hold on, Stormsky will get her powers real soon.)
